Overview
As I delve into property development projects, I discover a common issue: mistakes in progress reports from field operations. These errors slow down decision-making and project progress. Through this study, I aim to understand why these mistakes occur and find ways to improve reporting accuracy.

Insight
Through interviews with representatives from various departments involved in property development, the primary insight gleaned was the inconsistency between reported progress and actual on-site conditions. Traditional reporting methods such as mobile photos or verbal updates proved unreliable and prone to inaccuracies. Therefore, a digital reporting solution emerged as a necessity to ensure transparency, accuracy, and accountability in project monitoring.
Solution
To tackle the identified challenge, I proposed developing a mobile application that enables field personnel and supervisors to receive tasks and report progress digitally.

Field personnel can access assigned tasks, submit progress updates, and document work through the application.

Additionally, a manager dashboard was introduced to allow backend verification of reports. The application's interface was designed to be user-friendly, reducing the burden on field staff while ensuring comprehensive and accurate reporting.
Visual Design
For the visual design of the application, I opted for a color scheme aligned with the client's branding, incorporating shades of yellow as the primary color and white and black as secondary colors. The choice of colors aims to maintain consistency with the client's brand identity while ensuring readability and visual appeal. The interface layout emphasizes simplicity and clarity, with minimalistic design elements to enhance usability and navigation.
Reflection
In retrospect, the development of the digital reporting application represents a significant step towards addressing the challenges faced in property development project monitoring. By leveraging technology to streamline reporting processes and enhance data accuracy, the application offers a practical solution to improve decision-making and project management efficiency. Moving forward, continuous feedback and iteration will be essential to refine the application further and ensure its effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
